Master the 1000m SkiErg with proper technique and pacing strategies.
Equipment & Setup
- Concept2 SkiErg
- Distance: 1000m
- Damper setting: 5-7 recommended
Technique
- Start with feet shoulder-width apart
- Grip handles at shoulder height
- Drive down with straight arms and hip hinge
- Pull through with core engaged
- Return handles smoothly to starting position
Common Mistakes
- Pulling with arms only
- Bending elbows too early
- Not using leg drive
- Starting too fast
Training Tips
- 4 x 250m with 1-minute rest
- Technique work at lower damper settings
- Practice pacing with 2 x 500m efforts
- Include in HIIT workouts
